Accompanied by highly skilled game rangers, set out on early morning and evening shared game drives. Two game drives per day and an optional bush walk offer guests the opportunity to see the Big Five and much smaller wildlife. The rangers provide interesting information and anecdotes about the inhabitants of the bush.
Between exciting safaris, spend the time at camp relishing the tranquility of the bush. Relax at the pool or enjoy a siesta before lunch. After lunch, a late afternoon game drive and extends into the evening to view seldom seen nocturnal species by torchlight. It is when the nocturnal animals come to life, and the lions go out on their hunt! You will break somewhere out in the bush, in a scenic spot to watch a magnificent African sunset while sipping at a sundowner.
DAY SEVEN – SABI SAND GAME RESERVE / SKUKUZA / JOHANNESBURG
Prepare for an early morning wake-up call and out into the bush on the morning safari searching for animals not seen the day before. Return to camp for a hearty breakfast, and then relax until it is time to transfer to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, you will be met and assisted to the shuttle terminal for a courtesy shuttle to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Johannesburg is one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities, an interesting melting-pot. There is something for everyone, from world-class shopping centers, like Hyde Park, Sandton, Rosebank, and Melrose Arch, to exclusive boutiques, outstanding eateries, and vibrant pavement cafes. DAY EIGHT – JOHANNESBURG
This morning meet your guide in the hotel lobby for your half-day tour of Soweto.
Soweto is home to over 2 million people who, despite living in crowded and chaotic conditions, have a tangible sense of community. Visit the Hector Pieterson Museum and discover the cause of the tragic riots which led to his death. A stop is made at the late Nelson Mandela’s former home, transformed into a museum (on own account). Your tour continues to Regina Mundi Church, site of many secret underground meetings of then banned political parties.
After lunch at a local restaurant (on your account), your scheduled activities resume with a visit to the Apartheid Museum. The museum takes visitors on a fascinating, horrifying, humbling, and ultimately inspiring journey from the dark days of ‘whites-only’ privilege, through to Nelson Mandela’s historic release from prison. Get a small idea of what it was like to have your entire life determined by your skin color. Documentary pieces of film, texts, sound clips, and live accounts recapture life in the old South Africa. It’s a journey you’re unlikely to forget in a hurry.
DAY NINE – JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA / VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE
Transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
After clearing Zimbabwe immigration formalities, exit into the arrivals hall, you will be met by a representative and transferred by private vehicle to your reserved hotel.
Later this afternoon, you will be collected and transferred to the Zambezi River for your sunset dinner cruise. Experience the grandeur above the falls as you sail upstream on the Zambezi Reflections, a floating restaurant. Celebrate the setting African sun, as you share in the end-of-day ritual, which sees wildlife head to the river for their last drink of the day. Bring a camera and create your golden memories.

Day 3 – Great Ocean Road Full Day with Lunch
Your driver will pick you up from your hotel to commence a full day Great Ocean Road Tour. Commence the scenic drive south west of Melbourne and onto spectacular views of the Southern Ocean known as the Surf Coast.
The Great Ocean Road is one of Australia’s most spectacular coastal routes boasting wild and rugged coastline, soft sandy beaches and quaint towns.
Arrive at Split Point Lighthouse for a photo opportunity and coffee break (own expense). Wildlife in the area depending on the season may include whales, dolphins, kangaroos, echidnas and many different birds.
Arrive at Apollo Bay for lunch (own expense), then see koalas and kangaroos up close on the Eucalyptus Forest Walk at the renowned Great Ocean Road Ecolodge. Then visit the spectacular Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge, the site of the most famous 19th century Australian shipwreck.

LIBOURNE – BLAYE
The Libourne wine region, including Saint Émilion, Pomerol and Fronsac, is one of the major cradles of viticulture in the Bordeaux area, dating back to Gallo-Roman times. The first vines were planted in Fronsac two thousand years ago. In the 18th century, the wines of Fronsac enjoyed the best reputation in the Libourne region, selling for higher prices than their neighbors in Saint Émilion and Pomerol. Today, Fronsac includes several beautiful wine estates such as Château de la Dauphine, Château de la Rivière and Château Gaby. Here you will visit a cellar and taste local wines from one estate. BLAYE – BOURG
Once in Blaye, you can join a tour of its 17th-century citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For a more active excursion, take a bike ride around Blaye. Later in the day, you can choose to bike from Blaye through the idyllic French countryside to Bourg. While in the ancient village of Bourg, take a walking tour and visit the Carriage Museum, which houses a wonderful collection of horse-drawn vehicles. Later in the day, experience the hospitality of this charming medieval village with an exclusive wine festival. PAUILLAC
Pauillac, a lovely village on the Left Bank of the Gironde Estuary, is gateway to the famed Médoc region, renowned for producing some of the world’s finest Bordeaux wines. You will see some of the most beautiful and famous wine estates, including Château Latour, Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Lafite Rothschild and Château Pichon Longueville. You’ll then visit either Château Gruaud Larose or Château Léoville Poyferré for a tasting of Grand Cru wines. Alternately, you can visit Lynch Bages, a quaint wine estate and village, followed by a wine and local specialties tasting. Visit the impressive Castle of Roquetaillade, an amazingly preserved masterpiece of medieval military architecture owned by the same noble family for 700 years and travel to the Sauternes wine region to either Chateau de Rayne Vigneau or Chateau Guiraud to taste the highly prized golden-hued sweet wines produced here. For those wishing to explore more of the history on the decadent castles, you can enjoy a visit to the Roquetaillade castle and Cadillac castle. BORDEAUX
The breathtaking capital of the wine world, Bordeaux is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and classified as a “City of Art and History.” You’ll have an opportunity to experience much of the rich culture and architecture on a city tour followed by a visit to the famed indoor Les Halles de Bacalan market for a tasting of local specialties to please the palate. Bike enthusiasts will wish to join a tour along the city’s amazing network of bicycle paths. Depending on your interests, you have a choice from three excursions in the afternoon.
